Delete your data

You can ask us to delete your Social Assembly account and the personal information we hold about you at any time. You do not have to give a reason.

We verify that the request comes from the account holder before we delete anything. This protects you from someone else deleting your work.

• Your account and login credentials.
• Your consent record (when you accepted our policy and terms).
• Your coaching profile — onboarding answers, niche, goals, audience details and the narrative built from them.
• Your conversation history and coaching sessions.
• Your video and image review reports.
• Your content plans and calendar entries.
• Your connected social account links and the analytics we stored from them.
• Voice transcripts.

Videos and images you submitted for review are not kept by us. They are passed to Google’s Gemini Files API for analysis and deleted automatically from that service after about 48 hours. Voice recordings are transcribed and discarded — only the text is kept, and that text is deleted with your account.

South African tax law requires us to keep records of payments — transaction references, amounts and dates — for 5 years, even after your account is deleted. These records are kept only for that legal purpose and are not used for anything else.

Hosting and security logs, which include IP addresses, are kept for 30 days for fraud prevention and then deleted.

If you paid with Solana, the payment is recorded on a public blockchain. Nobody, including us, can delete it.

• We acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
• Deletion is completed within 30 days of us verifying the request.
• We email you to confirm once it is done.
• Copies in our encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days.

If you only want to disconnect Instagram or TikTok rather than delete your account, revoke Social Assembly’s access in that platform’s settings, or email support@socialassemblyhq.com and we will disconnect it for you. Disconnecting stops any further analytics being retrieved. To also remove the analytics we have already stored, ask us by email.

Deletion is one of several rights you have under the Protection of Personal Information Act. You can also ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it.
